HOUSTON, TX – With only six days left to Election Day, United We Dream Action is making it crystal clear what it means for Texans if Ted Cruz is re-elected to the U.S. Senate in its new ads.One ad exposes him telling a DACA recipient she should face deportation and another foretells of a Texas full of fake tacos under Cruz—just a few of the many reasons Texas can’t afford another 6 years of Cruz.
The ads will run across the social media platforms of Texans until Election Day, and coincide with a 6 day run of immigrant youth and allies taking to the streets and phones banks to elect leaders that will join them in the fight for immigrants across the country and state.

Julieta Garibay, co-founder and director for United We Dream Action in Texas, said:
“Ted Cruz is what’s wrong with Congress. Beto O’Rourke is a fighter that will not hesitate to be on the frontlines with the immigrant community against Trump’s malign attacks on us and our families. Yesterday, I voted for the first time in midterm elections as a new U.S. citizen because, unlike Cruz, I care about my immigrant community and people of color. Cruz stands for deporting DACA recipients, militarizing communities, separating families, and Trump’s wall. We need every single person who can, to use their power and voice to cast their vote for Beto O’Rourke, who supports DACA recipients, people of color, and will lead boldly, because immigrants are here to stay! ”
This Saturday, in partnership with MoveOn.org, United We Dream Action will take to the streets, knocking on voters doors to get out the vote for candidates Beto and Lina Hidalgo as part of the #HereToStay campaign.
