Washington, D.C. – Today, immigrant youth and allies from United We Dream Action held an early morning rally outside of Vice President Kamala Harris’ house urging her and President Biden to deliver an expansive and inclusive pathway to citizenship. The Biden-Harris administration vowed to protect the millions of undocumented immigrants that continue to live under the threat of deportation.

“Biden, Harris, and Democrats cannot rest until they deliver citizenship for me and my family. This is not a political game. My life and the lives of millions of other undocumented people like me are at stake the longer a pathway to citizenship is delayed.
Every minute that passes without a pathway to citizenship, is another minute we are left vulnerable to the grips of ICE and CBP. Just months ago, my hopes of applying for DACA for the first time were ripped away when tens of thousands of immigrant youth like me were blocked from applying. DACA has never been enough, but Vice President Harris and Senate Democrats have the power, right now, to ensure safety and citizenship is recognized for everyone. For our communities, citizenship means a sense of greater safety; the safety to live without the fear of being separated from our loved ones. The safety to go to school without the fear of being targeted and deported by enforcement. The safety to live freely, as our full selves.
Vice President Harris, we need more than your promises to protect us. With our lives on the line, we need action. We need citizenship. No rest until it’s delivered.”
