Sequin, TX — The only thing scary about voting is not having a plan! That’s why yesterday United We Dream Action (UWDA) hosted a “get out the vote” event in Texas’ 15th congressional district to make sure voters had a plan to make their voices heard.
The event – which featured face painting, a fortune teller, free food and drinks – drew over 200 attendees on a beautiful Sunday in Seguin, Texas. The goal of this GOTV event was to ensure every voter has a plan in place, and the majority of voting plans were made by people who were new to taking action with UWDA. In addition to helping voters in Texas make a plan, the event trained over 10 UWDA members (from across Texas and volunteers who traveled from the D.C. metro area) on the significance of getting out the vote & early voting.
