Washington, D.C. – Michelle Vallejo’s victory in Texas’ highly competitive 15th District would be a victory for our communities not just this cycle but for decades to come, and that’s why United We Dream Action (UWDA) launched an ad campaign for Michelle Vallejo (TX-15) for Congress.
The ad showing why Vallejo is the progressive, pro-immigrant champion our communities need is accompanied by an ad hitting her opponent – Monica de La Cruz – for her extreme, dangerous policies that are an attempt to erase our communities.
Michelle Ming, Political Director for United We Dream Action, said:
“We know what our communities feel strongly about: protecting a person’s right to choose, increasing wages to better provide for our families and their futures, fighting against climate change, a pathway to citizenship for immigrants, and gun control to name a few. That’s why we need unapologetic leaders in Congress committed to fight for so many of the issues that are top of mind for working people in TX-15 and across the country.
Michelle is deeply knowledgeable about the challenges her community faces because she’s one of them. That is why UWDA is making the necessary investments this election cycle to make sure voters hear about how Michelle Vallejo will work for them in Congress.
Vallejo’s opponent is an extreme, anti-abortion, Trump-backed Republican who is supported by xenophobes weaponizing dangerous anti-immigrant rhetoric that harms our community. The people of South Texas need to know who they are voting for AND against this midterm election. We need to ensure we have champions, like Michelle Vallejo, in Congress who will work alongside us to make the world we all deserve a reality.”
