Washington, D.C. – Amidst rising threats of mass deportations and family separations, United We Dream Action launched a six-figure digital ad campaign showing the heartbreaking reality of family separation and our collective role in protecting and ensuring immigrant and mixed-status families stay together.
The ad tells the story of a young woman with temporary immigration status who is working and living in the U.S. while her father remains in Mexico and is experiencing a medical crisis. Due to restrictions of our country’s immigration system, the young woman is unable to travel to be with her father during his medical emergency and is forced to navigate this distressing experience thousands of miles away and over the phone. The digital ad will run through mid-November across streaming platforms such as Hulu and YouTube.

Bruna Sollod, Senior Political Director of United We Dream Action, said:
“Immigrants and our allies have always braved threats against our lives to protect one another. From leading ‘Know Your Rights’ trainings for our communities, reuniting loved ones with their families, to blocking and defeating racist, anti-immigrant policies at all levels.
Now, with anti-immigrant leaders threatening mass deportation and separation of our communities, this ad is a powerful reminder that we will continue to protect each other no matter what happens in the weeks, months, or years to come. The truth is crystal clear: the vast majority of Americans are on our side and wholeheartedly believe families belong together. Together, we have the power to reject the rising anti-immigrant hate, violence, and fear-mongering officials are sowing across the country and unapologetically declare that we will continue to push for a pro-immigrant future where we’re all protected.”
