Washington, D.C. – Tonight, during the last presidential debate of the 2020 elections, we saw the clear difference between Trump and Vice President Biden.
UWDA PAC’s voter guide has a side-by-side comparison between Trump and Biden. See it here.
Cristina Jiménez, Co-founder of United We Dream Action PAC, said:
“Once all the votes are counted, we will either get another four years of Trump or we will get a Biden administration. We know what four more years of Trump would be like because we’ve lived it. Immigrant youth like my brother Jonathan were put in threat of deportation because of Trump’s attacks on DACA, more than 545 children are without their parents because Trump snatched them, and thousands of people are still dying from COVID-19 every day because of Trump’s failures.
Tonight, we heard Trump’s lies and excuses, and we also heard from Joe Biden. He committed to sending an immigration plan to Congress with a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented people and that would protect DACA recipients from deportation within the first 100 days. We heard him once again admit that the Obama-Biden administration made tremendous mistakes by deporting three million people. These commitments are a direct result of bold organizing by immigrant youth and the immigrant justice movement. We did that by pushing Biden during the primary.
Our priority is to protect our community and we can do that by voting Trump out of office and by continuing to push a future Biden administration to enact policies that help all of us without hurting anyone else. UWDA PAC is continuing to turn out voters in key battleground states over the next 12 days so that we can build towards our vision where all people, regardless of immigration status, are able to live free and thrive.”
