United We Dream Action is committed to mobilizing Florida voters to elect progressive and pro-immigrant candidates and to defeat Trump’s hateful agenda.

Florida— Today, United We Dream Action (UWDA), a leading immigrant youth organization, announced major endorsements in support of Democratic candidates in several high-profile Florida electoral races. UWDA is endorsing the following candidates and will mobilize voters to turn out in November to deliver wins for our communities:

✅ Adam Christensen for U.S. Congress in District 3;

✅ Melba Pearson for Miami-Dade State Attorney;

✅ Daniella Levine-Cava for Miami-Dade County Commissioner;

✅ Anna Eskamani for Florida House of Representatives – District 47;

✅ Jasmen Rogers for Florida House of Representatives – District 95;

✅ Cindy Polo for Florida House of Representatives – District 103;

✅ Joe Kimok for Broward County State Attorney;

✅ Monique Worrell for State Attorney 9th Circuit;

✅ Luisa Santos for Miami-Dade School Board Member District 9.

“Through our endorsement process all these candidates showed us they are running as proud champions of Florida’s immigrant communities. That’s why we’re excited to endorse them. These candidates support UWDA’s Free to Move, Free To Stay platform. We know they will work hard to empower Florida’s immigrant families who have been hit hardest by COVID-19 and harmed by Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda. These candidates will fight to build a better, fairer Florida where all immigrants can live healthy and fulfilling lives – a Florida where no one has to fear deportation, detention, family separation, or dying in a cage,” said Cristina Jiménez, co-founder United We Dream Action.

“Many of us can’t vote, but immigrant voters and first-time voters in Florida will be voting to defend their undocumented parents, their siblings who are DACA recipients, and countless immigrant residents impacted by COVID-19, deportation, detention and family separation under Trump,” said Nataly Chalco, UWDA member and student at Florida State University.
