Washington, D.C,— Today, United We Dream Action (UWDA) unveiled new billboards in South Texas and Miami. There are nine total billboards—six in South Texas and three in Miami—displaying support for immigrants and rejecting Governor Abbott and Governor DeSantis’ dangerous and false anti-immigrant narratives. The billboards come following weeks of actions from Governors using the lives of human beings for their own political stunts.

Bruna Sollod, Senior Communications and Political Director for United We Dream Action, said:
“There are more than enough resources for all of us, yet some politicians are quick to use people who are immigrants as easy scapegoats for their fear mongering. As someone who grew up in Florida, I know what it looks like for communities to come together and demand better for all of us. With these new billboards in South Texas and Florida we are showing what it means to be pro-immigrant. The truth is that people who are immigrants contribute to growing our local communities. Immigrants are a vital part of our social and economic well being.
Instead of providing solutions to current challenges, some politicians spend all of their time creating panic about people fleeing economic instability, political strife, climate change, and uncertainty. Enough is enough! We can come together and demand that politicians treat all of us with the dignity and respect that is inherent in our humanity.”
